Ensoniq ASR-10

In 1992 the Ensonique ASR-10 was released and shortly after Rob Papen created the AS-11 'Techno Synths Vol.1'  and the  AS-12 'Techno Synths Vol.2' soundset for this great sounding sampler/work station.

A cool feature of the ASR-10 was the bi-directional loop option and these patch buttons next to the Pitch Bend and Modulation Wheel, which allowed realtime variations while playing.
Although the Filters of Ensoniq ASR-10 miss the resonance parameter, soundwise they are fantastic, and with the included other features Rob Papen could approach the ASR-10 also as a powerful synthesizer.
Therefore many samples in these Rob Papen sound sets were pure raw data that came to life using the features of the ASR-10!

These soundsets came along with short demo songs, using the built-in 8 track MIDI recorder.  Some were so nice that Rob Papen used them later on in his album ‘DayDreamer’
