What are the differences between Albino, Predator and BLUE
Answer:
All are indeed "virtual synthesizers" but are very different in features and mainly sound.
Albino
Has a mellow sound compared to BLUE or Predator.
Albino has the option to combine up to 4layers as one sound.
The basic synthesis it uses is "subtractive".
BLUE
The sound of BLUE is versatile because it combines the best of FM synthesis and Subtractive synthesis in one synthesizer. So you can go from a punchy percussive FM sound until wide and deep Pad sounds…unheard in any other FM synthesizer.
A deep synthesizer with deep sound scapes and options.
Predator
Phat, organic and easy to use is the key to Predator.
Next to that it is wicked because of its "Easter eggs" features.
Predator is shipped also with PredatorFX, which makes that a user can use the build in vocoder or Predator filters also at his audio track.
Overall:
As user you need to follow your heart and all synthesizers are great and do not conflict with each other.
There are sounds Predator can not do, which BLUE can do. Or sounds that Albino does and BLUE not can reproduce.
Maybe it good to look at the old hardware synthesizers. To understand what I mean.
In the past we had the Jupiter-8 synthesizer and also the, Moogs, Oberheims, Prophets and so on.
Well, they all had their own sound character.
If we compare that to our synthesizers…Predator is in sound more the USA style of synthesizer like the Moogs, Prophets and so on…
And Albino is in sound more the Jupiter-8 synthesizer and BLUE combines the old DX-7 with a Oberheim Matrix-12. |
